Pernera's Scuba Diving

Pernera is a picture of paradise with a natural bay which is shaped like a half of a pearl shell and golden beaches. It is located on the South-East of a village resort with a similar name and is a part of the state of Cyprus. Its shores are washed by the Mediterranean sea. Diving and sunbathing are good options here thanks to the clean sand, the calm turquoise waters and the rich marine life. You can actively spend your time with fascinating diving experiences, where you get to enjoy the beautiful deep landscapes and even take great photos. There are large underwater rocks on the edges of the beach, next to the capes that form the bay.

Getting There

Pernera is 70 km from Larnaca international airport. You can make your way there using three different forms. First, order a taxi or take a bus. In the second case, you have to do transport changes. Follow the route: Larnaca — Finikudes — Ayia Napa —Paralimni. Or you can also rent a car.

The main climate here is the Mediterranean climate zone with comfortable weather conditions and a short off-season. The air warms up in summer up to + 40 ˚C, and in winter it warms up to + 10 ˚C. The water temperature in summer is + 29 to + 33 ˚C, and in winter as low as +15 to +17 ˚C.

Dive Spots near Pernera

Aquarium is a diving site that is, without a doubt, worth seeing. The depth here can reach 24-26 meters, with a visibility of 30 meters. If you are interested in seeing the diverse underwater world, you should come here. May to November is the best time for diving.
